Director of Modem Chip Design & Implementation
Job Site: San Jose, California
Lead and implement the company’s next-generation 5G modem chip development from top-level function to low-level modem IP implementation.
1. Develop modem features and operation mode lockdown in collaboration with the algorithm team:
Analyze (algorithm and simulator) and define architecture (including simulator modification customizing for hardware) of each building block.
Collaborate with the algorithm team for modem architecture hardware optimization sustains the same performance and behavior requested by the Algorithm team.
2. Implement key modem building blocks, such as time-domain RX front-end signal processing, frequency- domain signal processing, the data path of Tx modem in collaboration with the algorithm team about the new 5G modem:
Implement each building block (RTL design, simulation, design budget (size, timing).
Collaborate with RTL simulation test vector extraction and verification.
3. Verify implemented blocks with the software simulation developed by the algorithm team:
Verify each building block with RTL-C for bit-wise behavior correctness between RTL code and reference simulation code and regression with random vector generation.
Collaboration with algorithm team for RTL-C co-simulation test vector extraction.
4. Build modem core as integration of building blocks:
Full integration and simulation.
Collaborate with ASIC front-end, back- end teams.
Collaborate with the testing engineer for FPGA verification.
